KADUNA POLICE COMMAND ARREST SUSPECTED BANDITS, RECOVERS RUSTLED COWS.

The Kaduna state Police Command has on Thursday captured suspected bandits recovered cows and a Motorcycle with plate number No. QC 717AKW allegedly belonging to the fleeing suspect.

In a statement issued to newsmen by the Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Yakubu Abubakar Sabo, said the incident happened at about 0300hrs.

He said the command has received a distress call through Kafanchan Area Command that some gunmen suspected to be Cattle Rustlers have en-route Kafanchan security check point.

DSP Sabo said the command has since sent a team of Police detectives led by the Area Commander Kafanchan acted on a tip off, intercepted a Bus ash colour with Reg No. BLD 43 XA conveying three suspected rustled cows and arrested one Sadiq Umar (the driver) and Umar Abubakar both of Unguwan Nungu of Jamaa Local Government Area.

He said the suspects however, are allegedly  responsible for the murder of one Hosea Ayuba, Ado Adamu, Abagu Danladi and Kusa Danladi as well as the rustling of the said cows at Marabar Agban Kagoro.

"Both suspects are currently helping Police investigation with useful information and will be prosecuted accordingly." DSP Yakubu said.

He added that efforts are also on top gear to apprehend the fleeing accomplices.

DSO Sabo however said, the Command appeals to the general public to continue to demonstrate such Public Cooperation with a view to nip crime in the bud and to ensure Public Safety across the State.
