ZASIP: Zamfara Youths Jubilates, As Government Starts Paying Monthly Stipends

The Zamfara state Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle has expressed commitment to create more jobs opportunities to the teeming youths in the state, through revamping the state Social Investment Program, ZASIP.

Speaking to newsmen on Friday, the Chairman social empowerment programmes, ZASIP, Alhaji Sufyanu Bashir Yuguda, said that the state government would not relent until every registered beneficiary received the stipend, adding that the process would be successful.

Speaking on the delay in payment by some beneficiaries, Yuguda assured that the payment would soon be made, adding that Zamfara state government has already set aside the money for the empowerment program.

Yuguda said that the possible reasons behind the delay to some beneficiaries must be due to incomplete details during registration, lack of bank account details, but not a problem from the government.

Yuguda disclosed that the the state government has engaged over 8, 075 beneficiaries on the programme. 

ZASIP is the job creation and empowerment programme of Zamfara State Social Investment Programme (ZASIP) revived by Governor Bellows Muhammad Matawalle.

PRIME NEWS TIME has observed that the state government has started paying the monthly allowance to some batches of the beneficiaries, and as the time of filing this report, several beneficiaries we're on the process of receiving their stipends through their bank accounts.
